CHATTANOOGA – The Chattanooga Mocs' indoor volleyball team returns to Maclellan Gym for the final time in the regular season on Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. vs. the Wofford Terriers.

LAST WEEK'S RECAP
With one match left in the regular season, the Mocs are 10-18 and 6-9 in Southern Conference action. UTC enters the match winning four of its last five, including five-set wins over league-leading Mercer and in-state rival ETSU. The most recent victory, coming against ETSU, was the first time the Mocs defeated the Bucs since 2016.
Maia Rackel paced the squad with 16 kills and posted a double-double with 17 digs.
HONORING THE SENIORS
Prior to the match, Chattanooga will honor the two members of its senior class,
Gylian Finch and
Maia Rackel. The two four-year players have combined for 1,784 kills in their careers and 590 this season, 47% of the team's total.
LOOKING TO JOIN THE TOP-10
Senior outside hitter
Gylian Finch is 10 kills away from entering the top-10 list in program history with 983 kills. The Mount Morris, Ill. native looks to be the first player since Allie Davenport in 2016 to join to exclusive list. Earlier this season, she became the 8th player in UTC history with 3,000 career attempts. She currently sits at 3,380, 21 away from 7th all time.

GALLENTINE'S BACK-ROW DOMINANCE
UTC's starting libero has registered double-digit digs in all 28 matches this season.
Paige Gallentine is both the reigning SoCon Defensive Player of the Month (October) and the Week. The weekly accolade was the third of the season for the second-year libero. She joined Rachel Evans (1996) and Paula Passimore (2012) as the only Mocs with three SoCon weekly honors in a single season. Gallentine has posted 20 or more digs in five straight matches and leads all SoCon liberos with 5.51 digs/set in conference play. Her 543 digs this season ranks fourth in the nation (as of Nov. 10).
FIVE-SET MATCHES
UTC entered SoCon play 1-3 in five-set matches with their lone non-conference win coming over Western Illinois. UTC is now 5-3 overall and 4-0 in SoCon five setters. UTC's conference five-set victories have been against Furman, Samford, Mercer and ETSU. The four five-set wins in league action since 2012, Coach Filar's second season.
ABOUT WOFFORD
Wofford enters the final week of the regular season with an 8-6 SoCon record and is 14-12 overall. Two of their six losses have come to Furman, those Wofford losses are Furman's only SoCon wins. The Terriers are hitting .210 this season and averaging 12.1 kills per set. Wofford is led by Meagan Yaffa who is averaging 2.62 kills per set and Sarah Barham who's hitting .297. The Terriers play at ETSU prior to coming to Chattanooga.
LAST TIME OUT VS. WOFFORD
Wofford swept the Mocs in Spartanburg on Oct. 15, 2021 in the last meeting between the two teams. The Terriers won 25-14, 25-20, 25-17. In the three-set defeat,
Kate Neill tied the program record with a .750 hitting percentage in the match. She slotted 10 kills on 12 swings with one error. Wofford's Kennedy Smith led the match with 13 kills and a .324 hitting percentage.
SERIES HISTORY
Chattanooga leads Wofford 30-13 and is 18-2 at home against the Terriers in program history. The Terriers have won the last three meetings.
