CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga Mocs will host Murray State Friday night at the McKenzie Arena in non-conference women's basketball action.
 
CHATTANOOGA vs. MURRAY STATE
This will be the fifth meeting between the Mocs and Racers. The last meeting took place over a decade ago in 2007 in Chattanooga. The Mocs lead the series 3-1 and are 2-0 at home. The first meeting was a neutral-site game in 1977 at the MTSU Invitational. It would be 10 years before the two met again in 1987 with Murray State winning the meeting on their home turf. Chattanooga won the next year then it was 19 years before they would face off again.
 
ABOUT CHATTANOOGA
The Mocs held off Tennessee State in a late rally Wednesday night in Nashville and are looking to string together a pair of wins this season. Murray State will be the Mocs four straight Ohio Valley Conference opponent this season. UTC is 1-2 overall, falling to Belmont in the opener and then Tennessee Tech in its first road contest.
 
Abbey Cornelius leads the Mocs with 12.7 points and 11.3 rebounds per game. Dena Jarrells has a team-best 15 assists and five 3-pointers and is second on the team in scoring with 12.0 points per game after leading UTC in scoring in each of the last two contests. Brooke Hampel is the third Chattanooga player in double figures with 10.0 points per game.
 
ABOUT MURRAY STATE
The Racers are 2-1 on the year with home wins over Asbury (79-40) and Cumberlands (94-56) and a road loss at Missouri. MSU is averaging 81.0 points per game and a 47.6 shooting percentage.
 
Katelyn Young leads the team with 21.3 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. Macey Turley has a team-best 12 3-pointers and is second on the team in scoring with 18.7 points per game. Hannah McKay is the third in double digits with 13.7 points per game and averages 7.0 rebounds. Alexis Burpo is second in rebounding with 7.3 per game.

COVID-19 INFORMATION – MASK MANDATE
On Friday, November 13, Governor Bill Lee signed SB9014/HB9077, which precludes state entities from having mask or vaccine mandates unless certain exemptions are met.  As a result, masks are no longer required for spectators, staff and participants in athletics events at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

PARKING
Parking has gone CASHLESS. Parking ($5) is available near the arena in the parking garage located on Alumni Drive (Lot 31), Lot 34 and Lot 7.
 
CLEAR BAG POLICY
In an effort to enhance spectator safety and align with national best-practices, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Athletics Department has a clear bag policy for home games in all of its athletics facilities. 
 
Fans are allowed to bring in one plastic, vinyl or PVC clear bag that does not exceed 12" x 6" x 12" to home games.
 
Other items on the approved list include:
               - Storage Bag:  One Gallon re-sealable clear plastic freezer bag.
                - Small Clutch Purse:  No larger than 4.5" x 6.5" with or without a handle or strap. 
                - Seat Cushion or Bleacher Chair:  No larger than 16" and no pockets. 
                - Small Diaper Bag:  Must be accompanied by a child.
