Women's Basketball Hosts Georgia State Saturday

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga women's basketball team will return to The McKenzie Arena Saturday to host Georgia State, kicking off a three-game, four-day odyssey.
 
The Mocs will host the Panthers at the Roundhouse in the first game of a double header with the men's team. From there, UTC will travel to UAB to take on the Blazers Monday night and then to Nashville to face Vanderbilt the next day.
 
CHATTANOOGA vs. GEORGIA STATE
This will be the 17th meeting between the Mocs and Panthers. UTC holds a 13-3 advantage in the series that dates back to 1981 and includes an overtime win in Atlanta last season. At home the Mocs are 6-1 against Georgia State and the last time the two met in Chattanooga was in 1992 in the Roundhouse with UTC coming away with an 81-63 win.

FAN INFORMATION & COVID-19 GUIDELINES
Masks are no longer required for fans inside McKenzie, however, the use of masks are encouraged. McKenzie Arena and parking services will operate on a CASHLESS basis for the 2021-22 season. Ticket purchases at the box office will still accept cash. Will Call will be located at Gate 1.

CLEAR BAG POLICY
In an effort to enhance spectator safety and align with national best-practices, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Athletics Department has a clear bag policy for home games in all of its athletics facilities. 
 
Fans are allowed to bring in one plastic, vinyl or PVC clear bag that does not exceed 12" x 6" x 12" to home games.
 
Other items on the approved list include:
               - Storage Bag:  One Gallon re-sealable clear plastic freezer bag.
                - Small Clutch Purse:  No larger than 4.5" x 6.5" with or without a handle or strap. 
                - Seat Cushion or Bleacher Chair:  No larger than 16" and no pockets. 
                - Small Diaper Bag:  Must be accompanied by a child.

                - Large Purse
                - Large Tote
                - Non-Clear/Printed Tote
                - Duffel Bag
                - Drawstring Bag
                - Backpack
                - Fanny Pack
                - Camera Bag
 
ABOUT THE MOCS
- Abbey Cornelius is ranked in 14 different NCAA statistical categories. She ranks 23rd for defensive rebounds per game (7.8), 58th for rebounds (46) and 67th for rebounds per game (9.2).
 
- Dena Jarrells is ranked 74th in the NCAA for assists with 22 on the year and leads the Southern Conference with 4.4 per game.
 
- Freshman Addie Grace Porter has started three games and has scored in double digits in each game, averaging 12 points per game.
 
CLOSING IN ON A MILESTONE
- Abbey Cornelius needs just one blocked shot to reach the century mark. She currently ranks fourth all-time and is 10 behind Arianna Whitaker (2018-20) who has 109 over her two-year career with the Mocs. Cornelius would become the fourth Chattanooga player to top the 100-blocked shot mark.
