Women's Basketball Hosts North Alabama Saturday

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- Chattanooga will host North Alabama Saturday afternoon at The McKenzie Arena in non-conference women's basketball action.

The Mocs (1-10) fell to Cincinnati in their last home game but battled back to within one point twice in the game. Saturday's game is the second of a three-game home stand for Chattanooga.

North Alabama (4-5) is 0-3 on the year on the road with losses at Kentucky, Austin Peay and Murray State.

CHATTANOOGA vs. NORTH ALABAMA
This will be the third meeting between Chattanooga and North Alabama. UTC edged out the Lions in 1987 by just one point at the Lady Moc Invitational in Craig Parrott's first season. The Mocs beat Tennessee Tech the next day for the tournament crown.

She had 17 points and 12 rebounds. Dena Jarrells added 13 off the bench and Abbey Cornelius was 6-of-6 with 12 points. The Mocs outscored UNA 24-16 in the fourth quarter and held on to the double-digit lead, making 11-of-12 from the free throw line in the final period. The Mocs had 44 rebounds, third most last season, and scored 11 points off 13 offensive boards. Chattanooga's bench, with scoring from five different players, outmatched North Alabama's 28-20.
