CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga Mocs volleyball teams wraps up a four-match homestand with two-match series against Mercer inside Macllelan Gymnasium on Sunday and Monday in Southern Conference action. Both matches kick off at 4 p.m. EST and can be streamed live on ESPN+.

Chattanooga (5-5, 3-5 SoCon) snapped a five-match skid with a straight-set victory against Furman on Monday night while Mercer (6-5, 5-1 SoCon) enters the weekend riding a five-match winning streak. The Bears lost the conference opener on January 31 before rattling off five-straight.
As a reminder, due to ongoing concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no fans allowed for this event. Only guests marked on the student-athlete pass lists are able to attend this event.

Chattanooga (5-5, 3-5 SoCon) snapped a five-match losing skid last Monday with a 3-0 victory over Furman, completing the weekend split against the Paladins. UTC moved within a victory in the win column of the top four spots in the Southern Conference regular season standings, as the top four advance to the league tournament.
ABOUT MERCER
Mercer (6-5, 5-1 SoCon) enters the weekend on a five-match win streak after suffering a conference-opening loss to Samford on January 31. The Bears currently sit second in the league standings with an .833 W-L percentage, trailing leader ETSU who sits at 7-1 with an .875 win percentage. Â

DEFENSIVE STABILITY KEEPING MOCS IN IT; GALLENTINE NAMED DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Chattanooga leads the conference and ranks 32nd in NCAA Division I in digs per set (17.65) while also ranking first in the league and 29th nationally in total team digs (704). Freshman
Paige Gallentine (Fenton, Mich.) leads the SoCon and ranks 34th in NCAA DI with a 5.22 digs per set average.
Gallentine was named the Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Week after a combined 49 digs (7.00/set) last weekend.

HOME COURT ADVANTAGE RETURNING FOR MOCS
Chattanooga has won seven of its last eight matches inside Maclellan Gymnasium after earning a victory on Monday. The Sunday loss snapped a six-match home win streak, the second-longest streak under
Travis Filar (since 2011), following an 18-match home winning streak spanning across the 2015-16 seasons.
