Mocs Take on Wofford on the Road

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga women's basketball team will travel to Wofford this week for back-to-back matchups in the revamped Southern Conference schedule. The two will face off Thursday night and again Saturday. Follow all the action on GoMocs.com

SERIES HISTORY
The Mocs lead the series with Wofford 51-3. On the road, UTC is 23-1 against Wofford including a clutch buzzer-beating 3-pointer by Bria Dial to propel Chattanooga to a 51-49 victory in Spartanburg. The Terriers' snapped the Mocs' 45-game regular season win streak in 2019. It was Wofford's first regular sason win over Chattanooga. Wofford joined the league in 1998 and knocked the Mocs out of the league championships. The next season, in Wes Moore's first year with UTC, the Terriers once again eliminated UTC from the postseason.
 
ABOUT CHATTANOOGA
The Mocs are 4-3 in Southern Conference action after splitting each series with Samford, Furman and Mercer. UTC averages 66.4 points and 38.1 rebounds per game while shooting 42.6 percent from the field. From beyond the arc, the Mocs are shooting 38.1 percent and average 6.3 from long range while shooting 65.6 percent from the charity stripe. Eboni Williams leads UTC with 13.7 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. Abbey Cornelius is averaging 9.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game and leads the SoCon in blocked shots with 30. Bria Dial leads UTC with 30 3-pointers and is averaging 11.8 points per game. Sigrun Olafsdottir leads UTC with 3.1 assists per game and has a 1.1 assist-to-turnover ratio. In the last outing, all five Chattanooga starters scored in double figures to give UTC a win over league-leading Mercer.
