PREVIEW: Volleyball Set to Wrap Up 2020-21 Season at ETSU

Chattanooga volleyball plays in its final matches of the rescheduled 2020-21 spring season this weekend in Johnson City.

CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga Mocs volleyball team is set to wrap up play in the rescheduled 2020-21 spring season this weekend with a pair of matches at in-state rival ETSU on Sunday and Monday in Johnson City, Tenn. Both matches can be streamed LIVE on ESPN+.
 
Chattanooga (6-10, 4-10 SoCon) is coming off a thrilling five-set victory over league-leading Samford on Monday, halting the Bulldogs win streak at 11. ETSU (5-9, 5-9 SoCon) began the conference season a perfect 4-0 before dropping nine of its next 10 matches.

ABOUT CHATTANOOGA
Chattanooga (6-10, 4-10 SoCon) snapped a four-match skid and halted league-leading Samford's 11-match win streak during a five-set win on Monday. In addition, the win prevented the Bulldogs from clinching the SoCon title that night. The Mocs dropped the first match of the series on Saturday, 3-1.
 
ABOUT ETSU
After ETSU (5-9, 5-9 SoCon) started the season 4-0 both overall and in the conference with sweeps of Furman and UNCG, the Bucs have dropped nine of its last ten matches with the lone win coming in straight-set fashion against The Citadel (3/14). ETSU ranks last in the league in opp. hitting percentage (.239) and sits eighth in kills per set (11.89).
 
ROAD WOES CONTINUE SINCE 2017
Chattanooga has not captured a road victory since November 3, 2018 (at The Citadel, 3-2). UTC is a combined 4-35 (.102%) on the road since the start of the 2017 season and carries a 3-24 (.111%) record in such matches within the Southern Conference.
