As we countdown to the Mocs' season opener against UAB on 19 at the UTC Sports Complex, we're getting to know who to watch this season.
 
Newcomer Sylvie Keck had a family reason for picking her number. "I'm one of four kids and it was my first number!"
 
She started playing soccer at the age of three and also ran track in high school. But did you know? "I did competitive dance for three years before I started travel soccer."
 
Before matches she likes to listen to Rhianna and soccer stands out for her because "the creative aspect of soccer, but mostly the team and cooperation aspect."
 
Over the summer sh was a counselor for a Nike Soccer Camp.
 
She's gotten to see action in the Mocs two preseason exhibition matches. At Christ Presbyterian Academy she helped the Lions to the 2018 Division II-A State title as well as a pair of runner-up finishes and two-time state semifinalists in her five seasons.
 
2021 SEASON
The Mocs kick off the 2021 season on August 19 at home against UAB following a pair of preseason exhibitions. This will be UTC's third season at the UTC Sports Complex located next to Engel Stadium. The Mocs finished third last season for its best finish in program history and was one of four teams to advance to the Southern Conference Championships. Follow all the action online "at GoMocs.com.
