Chattanooga is riding a three-game win streak and sitting third in the Southern Conference standings after claiming its 900
th program win against Western Carolina on Thursday. The Mocs are 5-14 overall and 3-1 in league play. UNCG is 5-11 on the year and 1-2 against the league. The Spartans had to postpone its opening weekend of SoCon play due to COVID-19 protocols within the program.

CHATTANOOGA vs. UNC GREENSBORO
This will be the 59th meeting between the Mocs and Spartans. UTC leads the series 47-11 and are 39-7 against the Spartans in the SoCon regular season. The Mocs lead UNCG 21-4 at home and have split the last eight games 4-4. The two teams split the series last season played at the Roundhouse due to COVID-19 rescheduling.

UTC hosted the Spartans and the two teams split the series played two days apart due to COVID-19 protocols. UTC won the first and UNCG took the second.

GAME 1 - UTC 57, UNCG 41Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
Bria Dial and
Abbey Cornelius combined to lead the Mocs past the Spartans. Dial had a game-high 16 points and three blocked shots while Cornelius posted a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. She added a pair of blocked shots. UTC held the Spartans to 28.6 percent shooting from the field and did not allow a single 3-pointer in the contest. Chattanooga led wire-to-wire and by as much as 24 in the fourth quarter. UTC outrebounded UNCG 48-28.

GAME 2 - UTC 58, UNCG 50Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
UNCG got out to an early lead on the Mocs but couldn't quite pull away, keeping the final in question until the end. After falling behind in the first, UTC would take a narrow lead in the second, but trail by two at the half. UTC managed a small lead at the start of the fourth quarter, but the Spartans forced turnovers and drew fouls to retake the lead, but struggled at the charity stripe. UTC retook a the lead briefly, but UNCG went on a 7-0 run to end the period, heading into the fourth with the lead. Chattanooga managed to tie the game twice in the fourth, but couldn't get past the Spartans. UTC shot 91.7 percent from the free throw line but could only get three 3s to fall and shot 30.5 percent from the field.

CHATTANOOGA IS 39TH PROGRAM WITH 900 WINS
With the Mocs' win over Western Carolina on Jan. 20, UTC became the 39th program in NCAA Division I history to reach the 900 win plateau. Chattanooga's six coaches combined for the milestone that started with the 1974-75 season under Grace Keith.

PUGH TOPS 1,000 CAREER POINTS WITH THREE
Amaria Pugh drained a 3-pointer as the shot clock was running out and just 29 seconds remaining in the game against Western Carolina to get her 1,002nd career point. Pugh, a transfer, is in her second season with Chattanooga.

CORNELIUS THIRD ON ALL-TIME LIST
Abbey Cornelius has let her presence around the basket be known over her UTC career. She has become the fourth Chattanooga player to record at least 100 blocked shots and moved past Arianne Whitaker for third all-time.
