CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball team looks to up its four-game win streak and remain atop the Southern Conference standings when it travels to Charleston, S.C., to face league-foe The Citadel on Saturday afternoon inside McAlister Field House. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
Â
Chattanooga (17-4, 7-1 SoCon) is coming off a regular season sweep of Wofford after defeating the Terriers 71-60 inside McKenzie Arena on Wednesday night. The Mocs currently sit in first place in the SoCon standings, just a half-game ahead of Furman (7-2). Following games through January 27, UTC is slotted at No. 43 in the NET Rankings and No. 7 in the Collegeinsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 Poll.
Â
The Citadel (9-10, 3-5 SoCon) has won its last two games after enduring a three-game skid with both wins coming by two points. The Bulldogs downed ETSU on the road last Saturday 75-73, before besting the Catamounts at home on Wednesday 68-66. UTC won the first matchup between the two teams 85-67 back on January 8.
Â
The game at The Citadel will be available LIVE on ESPN+ and can be accessed through the Watch ESPN platform. Fans can also listen LIVE on WFLI 96.1 FM/100.3 FM/1070 AM in Chattanooga as well as the Varsity Network app.
Â
RADIO NOTE: WFLI added 96.1 and 100.3 FM to their arsenal of stations. The previous agreement had the Mocs on 97.7 FM and 1070 AM which was a good base of operation. Starting this weekend, 96.1 takes the place of 97.7 while 100.3 is added. The change to 96.1 adds the audio reach by roughly 100,000 homes while 100.3 expands the overall coverage further north of the Tennessee River especially strengthening the signal in Hixson and Soddy-Daisy.
