CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga women's basketball team took a few days off for final exams and are now ready to return to the court with a Thursday night matchup on the road at North Alabama.
The game is the fourth in a six-game road stand that started at Georgia State on November 30 and will conclude next week at Marshall.

ABOUT CHATTANOOGA (6-5)
Chattanooga is 6-5 overall. After winning four straight, the Mocs fell in back-to-back games at Alabama and Tennessee. The Mocs lead the Southern Conference in scoring defense, field goal percentage defense, rebounding defense and defensive rebounds.
Yazz Wazeerud-Din leads the Mocs in scoring and is second in the SoCon with 17.5 points per game. She is third in the league with 2.5 3-pointers made per game.
Raven Thompson leads the Mocs in rebounding with 8.0 per game and ranks second in the league.
Abbey Cornelius is second in the SoCon in blocked shots and leads UTC.

ABOUT NORTH ALABAMA (5-3)
The Lions average 74.1 points per game, outscoring opponents by 4.8 points per game but are outrebounded by 3.9 boards per game. UNA is shooting 35.2 percent from the 3-point line making 90-of-256, averaging 11.3 treys per game, the best in the NCAA.
Four Lions average in double digits led by Jade Moore with 13.8 per game. She has a team-best 32 3-pointers, averaging four per game and leads the nation. Emma Kate Tittle is second on the team in scoring with 12.4 points per game and is shooting 52.8 percent from the field. Skyler Gill has a team-best 8.8 rebounds per game and is third on the team in scoring with 12.3 points per game.
CHATTANOOGA vs. NORTH ALABAMA
The Mocs and Lions have met just three times, with UTC leading the brief series 2-1. North Alabama earned its first victory over the Mocs last season at The McKenzie Arena.
THE LAST TIME THEY MET
The Mocs were unable to take advantage of several opportunities in the final 30 seconds of play and fell 74-71 to North Alabama at The McKenzie Arena. Trailing 72-64 with just under two minutes to play, the Mocs put up five quick points.
Abbey Cornelius drew a foul on a made layup and converted the 3-point play to cut the lead to 67-72 with 1:41 to play. The Mocs got a stop on the other end and Cornelius snared the rebound.
Dena Jarrells hit a short jumper to cut the Lion lead to 72-69 with 1:01 on the clock. Chattanooga got another stop with
Brooke Hampel grabbing the defensive board. A quick time out advanced the ball, but a 3-point attempt just wouldn't fall. UNA called for time to advance the ball and on the ensuing inbound play, the Lions' point guard stepped over the half court line for the turnover. The Mocs missed a 3-point shot, trying to tie the game with 12 seconds to play, but
Amaria Pugh put pressure on the ball at midcourt and her steal led to a fast break layup to make it a one-point game, 72-71 with seven seconds to play. The Lions stepped on the line on the inbounds pass and once again, Chattanooga had a chance. A short jumper from the side bounced out and a UTC foul on the rebound sent North Alabama to the line where Alexis Callins made both to stretch the lead to 74-71. The Mocs final chance came with 2.3 seconds remaining. Jarrells took the pass in bounds and ran down the court but her half court heave hit off the back of the rim at the buzzer. Chattanooga outscored the Lions 24-19 in the fourth and shot 44 percent in the frame. Cornelius led the Mocs with 18 points and
Brooke Hampel dropped in 11. Pugh, Porter and
Sigrun Olafsdottir added nine points each and Jarrells chipped in eight. Cornelius had a team-best eight rebounds and matched her career-high for blocked shots with five. Chattanooga was 25-of-62 for the game and made 16-of-19 from the free throw line.
