Men's Basketball Begins Hectic Stretch at Samford on Wednesday Night

The Chattanooga Mocs get set for four games over the next seven calendar days as they head to face the Bulldogs in Birmingham on Wednesday.

CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball team looks to extend its five-game winning streak with a Southern Conference matchup against Samford inside the Pete Hanna Center in Birmingham, Alabama on Wednesday night. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. ET on ESPN+.

Chattanooga (18-4, 8-1 SoCon) is coming off a 75-62 road victory over The Citadel on Saturday to remain atop the SoCon regular season standings, a half game clear of Furman (8-2). Wednesday's game at Samford starts a four-game in seven-day stretch for the Mocs. UTC carries a No. 5 ranking this week in the latest Collegeinsider.com Mid-Major Top 25.

Samford (13-8, 3-6 SoCon) has won its last two games after suffering a four-game skid in conference play. The Bulldogs have posted consecutive double-digit victories with the most recent coming at Western Carolina on Saturday, 74-64. UTC has won seven of the last eight meetings against Samford.

The game at Samford will be available LIVE on ESPN+ and can be accessed through the Watch ESPN platform. Fans can also listen LIVE on WFLI 96.1 FM/100.3 FM/1070 AM in Chattanooga as well as the Varsity Network app.

RADIO NOTE: WFLI added 96.1 and 100.3 FM to their arsenal of stations. The previous agreement had the Mocs on 97.7 FM and 1070 AM which was a good base of operation. Starting this weekend, 96.1 takes the place of 97.7 while 100.3 is added. The change to 96.1 adds the audio reach by roughly 100,000 homes while 100.3 expands the overall coverage further north of the Tennessee River especially strengthening the signal in Hixson and Soddy-Daisy.
