CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga women's basketball team will close out the regular season Saturday afternoon against Wofford at The McKenzie Arena and honor senior
Pare Pene before the 1:30 p.m. tip-off.
SENIOR DAY
Pene, a native of New Zealand, will graduate in May. She has played in 67 games for the Mocs and made two starts. The southpaw shot 22.3 percent from the field and 21.1 percent from beyond the arc. 71 percent of her attempts came from long range. She recorded career-highs in scoring against Ohio and rebounding at Western Carolina. The guard is credited with two blocked shots.

CHATTANOOGA vs. WOFFORD
The Mocs lead the series with Wofford 52-5 and is 25-0 against the Terriers at home. Wofford snapped the Mocs' 45-game regular season win streak in 2019 in Spartanburg. It was Wofford's first regular season win over Chattanooga. Wofford joined the league in 1998 and knocked the Mocs out of the league championships. The next season, in Wes Moore's first year with UTC, the Terriers once again eliminated UTC from the postseason.
THE LAST TIME THEY MET
UTC fell 76-53 to the Terriers in Spartanburg in January despite a second half push by the Mocs. UTC trailed 40-16 at the half and edged the Terriers 37-36 in the second. UTC shot 58.3% in the fourth quarter led by
Karsen Murphy's 10 points in the final frame.
Abbey Cornelius led all scorers with 14 points and grabbed three rebounds. Murphy was 4-of-4 in the game and
Amaria Pugh was 7-of-8 from the free throw line with nine points.
Sigrun Olafsdottir led the Mocs on the boards with seven and added four assists and two steals. UTC made 20-of-26 from the free throw line, its most of the season.
UP NEXT
The Mocs will head to Asheville, N.C., for the Southern Conference Championships. The seeding has yet to be decided for the 5-7 teams of which Chattanooga is one.
