CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga Mocs men's tennis team and head coach
Chuck Merzbacher have announced the addition of Carter Ramthun, a product of Station Camp High School in Hendersonville, Tennessee, to the 2022-23 roster.
According to Tennis Recruiting Network, Ramthum is a three-star recruit who ranks No. 3 in the state of Tennessee, No. 102 in the Southeast and No. 334 nationally.
"We are pleased to announce that Carter Ramthun will be joining our tennis team in the fall," said head coach
Chuck Merzbacher. "Carter has a solid junior tennis resume, and we are excited to land one of the top players in the state," he added.
"Besides being a fine tennis player, Carter has a strong work ethic, and his energy will align perfectly for our team and collegiate tennis. We look forward to his college tennis career."
Ramthun was a member of the Ozaki Cup for Team Tennessee in 2021 in the Boys' 18 Singles, Boys' 18 Doubles and Mixed 18 Doubles divisions, helping Tennessee to a first-place finish in the Silver category. In addition to the appearance in the Ozaki Cup, Ranthum was named to the All-Tennessee roster in 2021 while earning All-District and All-Regional MVP honors during his freshman season.
