Soccer Closes Preseason Friday at Jacksonville State

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga women's soccer team will hit the road again, this time headed south to take on Jacksonville State in the final exhibition match of the preseason.

The Mocs came away with a 2-1 victory over Middle Tennessee earlier this week, scoring the game winning goal in the 88th minute.

Shelby Hash fought off the defense to score the Mocs first goal in the 43rd minute, but the Blue Raiders responded less than a minute later with the game-tying goal.

Hash's second goal came late in the game when she was able to get her foot on the ball at push it over the line after MTSU's keeper managed to stop a shot by Grace Klippenstein but didn't get a hand on it.

The Mocs have 10 newcomers on the 2022 roster and will put together many looks to prepare for the upcoming start next week at UAB.
