The Mocs and Bruins have met six times since 1997 with Belmont winning each contest. In Chattanooga, the Bruins won the last two. The last meeting was a 2-1 overtime win for Belmont in Nashville last season.

ABOUT CHATTANOOGA (2-2-2)
The Mocs are on a four-game unbeaten streak with a pair of wins and draws. UTC has victories over Austin Peay (3-0) on the road and North Alabama (2-1) at home while finishing in a draw at Georgia State (1-1) and against Tennessee Tech (1-1). The Mocs hold an 8-6 goals advantage through six matches this season, suffering just one shutout in the opener at UAB and averaging 1.33 goals per game. Freshmen Clariss Salinas and

ABOUT BELMONT (2-1-3)
The Bruins started the season with a victory over nearby Union, but immediately fell in its next match to North Alabama (2-0). After three consecutive draws, 1-1 vs. MTSU and scoreless ties against IUPUI and Western Kentucky, Belmont came away with a 1-0 victory at Austin Peay Thursday. The Bruins have five goals through six games and allowed only three and average 9.5 shots per game. Anna Sweeney has two goals in six matches, leading the team with four points. Shae Doherty, Leah Firsdon and Maci Pekmezian each have one goal. Sarah Doyle has started all six matches in goal and has 23 saves (0.885 saves percentage) and a 0.52 goals against average, giving up three goals. She has three shutouts and combined with Taylor Wieland for the fourth.

Clarissa Salinas gifted herself a goal and assist on her birthday in the Mocs 2-1 win over North Alabama Thursday night at home.
Caroline Richvalsky first found the foot of
Birna Johannsdottir who, on one touch, passed the ball to Salinas. She floated a shot from the upper box over the advancing UNA keeper for the first goal. In the second half, she eluded the defense and slotted a pass through the defense into
Shelby Hash. Hash, inside the top of the box, hit a roller into the bottom left corner for the game winner.

UNBEATEN STREAK RUNS TO FOUR GAMES
The Mocs improved to 2-2-2 overall and are unbeaten over the last four matches with a pair of wins and two draws. UTC started the streak with a 1-1 draw at Georgia State on a goal in the final five minutes from
Clarissa Salinas. The Mocs followed that with a 3-0 win at Austin Peay.
Birna Johannsdottir scored the game winner while Carolien Richvalsky and
Mackenzie Smith added two more. UTC came home and gave up a late goal for a second draw in three games. A win over North Alabama in their latest outing pulled the Mocs to an even 2-2-2 overall mark.

RICHVALSKY JOINS TEAM LEADERS

Caroline Richvalsky scored her first collegiate goal early in the second half against Tennessee Tech. A late goal from the Golden Eagles proved to be the equalizer in a 1-1 draw at home.

MACKENZIE SMITH NAMED TSWA PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Junior
Mackenzie Smith was named the Women's Soccer Player of the Week by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association following the Mocs 1-0-1 record in the second week. She assisted on the Mocs second goal in a 3-0 win at Austin Peay and then scored the final goal.

Clarissa Salinas who was there to pick up the deflection. The goal was the first of Salinas' collegiate career and tied the match for UTC.

EKERN EARNS STARTING SPOT IN GOAL
Freshman
Caroline Ekern entered the Mocs match against Eastern Kentucky in the first half and pulled in four saves in 65 minutes in her collegiate debut. That led to her making her first start as a Moc at Georgia State. She played the full 90 and made two saves while giving up one goal. She has three starts under her belt and remains unbeaten at 1-0-2.

MOCS GO 1-1 IN PRESEASON
In the opening exhibition match, the Mocs outdueled Middle Tennessee 2-1.
Shelby Hash scored both goals for the Mocs in the preseason. Hash scored the first of her two goals in the second of three 30-minute periods and then scored her second in the final two minutese of the match. In the second preseason match, the Mocs were up against a chippy Jacksonville State crew. The defenses matched as neither team had many scoring opportunities. The Gamecocks scored the lone goal in the final period for the win.
