CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. ---
Adison Keylon hit her second home run of the game, third on the day, in the bottom of the sixth to lead Chattanooga to a 5-4 win over Western Illinois at the Chattanooga Challenge.
The Mocs improve to 3-0 overall after beating James Madison in their only game of the Charleston Challenge last weekend.
Chattanooga 5, Western Illinois 4
In the night cap, the Mocs scored the game winner in the bottom of the sixth to secure its third straight win.
Keylon, who homered earlier against Marshall to tie that game, hit a three-run shot in the second to put UTC up 4-0.
That lead would last long. The Fighting Leathernecks match Chattanooga with four runs in the top of the third. It started with a bases-loaded single through the left side to score two runs. A pair of sacrifice flies would see the game tied 4-4.
Keylon cranked her second home run of the game and third of the day over the fence in left center to give the Mocs their third straight win.
Freshman
Peja Goold earned her first win of the year in five innings. She had seven strikeouts and walked one with three hits.
