CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- Chattanooga women's basketball head coach Shawn Poppie announces the addition of grad transfer Jada Guinn to the Mocs 2023-24 roster.

Guinn comes to Chattanooga from Tennessee Tech were she was named the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Most Outstanding Player.

She played in 120 games over four years with the Golden Eagles amassing 984 career points and 600 rebounds while making 90 starts. She shot 51.4 percent from the field, averaged five rebounds per game and tallied 395 assists.

In the 2022-23 season, she shot 57.4 percent from the field, averaged 10.7 points per game and dished out 130 assists. She scored in double digits 19 times and topped 20 points three times with a career-high 24 points against Tennessee State on January 24 last season. She set her career-high for rebounds in her junior year against Murray State with a pair of double-doubles on the year.

She helped Tennessee Tech to the 2023 OVC Tournament title, scoring in double digits in all three games with 13 assists and five steals.

The Golden Eagles earned the OVC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament and played in the First Four game, beating Monmouth by 10 points to advance to the First Round against Indiana. She scored a game-high 18 points with five rebounds and six assists.

Guinn will join the Southern Conference Tournament Champion Mocs for her final year, joining fellow newcomers Eleecia Carter (Winter Garden, Fla.), Hannah Kohn (Oviedo, Fla.) and Caia Elisaldez (Whittier, Calif.), all freshmen.
