FAN CENTRAL/SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (March 8, 2024) --- The No. 3 seed Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball team will meet No. 6 Wofford in the Southern Conference Tournament quarterfinals with a Saturday night matchup inside the Harrah's Cherokee Center in Asheville, N.C. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
Chattanooga (20-11) faces Wofford (17-14) for the third-straight season in tournament play and sixth time overall. The Mocs claimed wins over the Terriers in each of the past two tournaments with both coming in the semifinal round.
The winner will move on to face either No. 2 UNCG or No. 7 ETSU/No. 10 VMI in the semifinal round on Sunday. Tip-off for that contest is slated for 6:30 p.m. ET and will be televised nationally on ESPNU.

The official pregame meeting place for all things Chattanooga basketball this weekend will be held at The Bier Garden located outside the arena at 46 Haywood Street. The men's pregame social on Saturday will take place from 4:30 – 5:45 p.m. ahead of the 6 p.m. tip.

MOCS ENTER SOCON TOURNAMENT AS 3-SEED, FACE 6-SEED WOFFORD
- Chattanooga (20-11) heads into this weekend's SoCon Tournament as the No. 3 seed after finishing 12-6 in the league following Saturday's 82-63 defeat to Western Carolina. UTC & UNCG tied for the second spot with the Spartans earning the tiebreak.
CHATTANOOGA/WOFFORD TOURNAMENT HISTORY
- The Mocs will face Wofford for the third-straight season in Asheville and sixth time overall in the SoCon Tournament. UTC is 3-2 in the five SCT matchups against the Terriers with semifinal wins in each of the past two years (2022 & 2023).
AIMING FOR THREE-STRAIGHT TITLE APPEARANCES
- The Mocs aim for its third-straight title game appearance after splitting the last two against Furman. UTC's last time with three-straight appearances was four-straight from 2003-06 (1-3). SoCon wise, UNCG last did it from 2017-19.
LAST YEAR'S RUN WAS ONE FOR THE RECORD BOOKS...
- Chattanooga, the No. 7 seed, found itself in the 2023 title game with a chance to become the first team since Clemson in 1939 to win four games in four days to claim the league title. The Mocs fell 88-79 to Furman in a rematch from the 2022 classic championship game.

Honor Huff became the third different Moc in the past three seasons to record a 500-point season (547), joining Malachi Smith (21-22) &
Jake Stephens (22-23). It's just the second time in program history with three different 500-point scorers in consecutive seasons (Benny Green 87-88, Daren Chandler 88-89, Derrick Kirce/Keith Nelson 90-91).

Sam Alexis' 63 blocks this season is seventh most in UTC single season history while his 82 career blocks in just two seasons is ninth most all-time. Entering the midweek, Alexis is one of just five NCAA DI players averaging at least 10.0pts/9.0reb/2.0blk per game while shooting 50% FG or better.
