CHATTANOOGA (January 30, 2025) – The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team is set to continue their season with another pair of matches on consecutive days, beginning with a match on Friday at Southern Mississippi before finishing the weekend with a neutral Saturday match against Northwestern State.
Friday's match is slated for a 3 p.m. start, and Saturday's match will kick off at 2 p.m. Both matches will be held at Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Ms.

Scouting Chattanooga
Chattanooga is coming into the weekend after two losses, 5-2 to Louisville and 7-0 to Middle Tennessee. The Mocs narrowly lost the doubles point to Louisville when the No. 1 pair of
Alice Hall and
Rozalie Dohnalova and No. 2 duo of
Madlena Orlova and
Savannah Presson lost in tiebreaks.
Scouting Southern Mississippi
Southern Mississippi will open their 2025 season at home this weekend. In 2024, they went 5-15 overall and had a 0-10 record in conference play. The Golden Eagles defeated the Mocs 4-3 in their last meeting on February 11, 2022.
Scouting Northwestern State
Northwestern State opens their 2025 regular season this weekend, and this will be the first time Chattanooga faces them. They finished 2024 with an 11-9 overall record and went 3-4 in conference play. They advanced to the Southland Conference semifinal where they fell 4-2 against McNeese.
