CHATTANOOGA (January 8, 2025) --- After a three-week hiatus, the Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball team returns to the friendly confines of McKenzie Arena Thursday evening with its Southern Conference home opener against UNCG. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. ET and will be nationally televised on CBS Sports Network.
Tickets can be purchased HERE in advance or by calling/visiting the McKenzie Arena Box Office at (423) 266-MOCS (6627) during business hours of M-F, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. (ET).
Chattanooga (9-6, 1-1 SoCon), who welcomes undefeated UNCG (9-6, 2-0 SoCon), is coming off its first league win of the season after claiming an 81-68 road victory at The Citadel last Saturday. The Mocs ultimately split the opening week of conference play after dropping a tough 99-94 overtime contest in the opener at Mercer last Wednesday.
Chattanooga will quickly rebound with another SoCon matchup on Saturday afternoon by hosting VMI (6-9, 0-2 SoCon) inside the Roundhouse. Tip-off for that contest is set for 2 p.m. on ESPN+, and with inclement weather in the forecast, stay tuned to GoMocs.com and all social channels if changes are necessary.

CHATTANOOGA REBOUNDS WITH WIN AT THE CITADEL

Chattanooga (9-6, 1-1) rebounded from its SoCon opening loss with an 81-68 victory at The Citadel on Saturday afternoon inside the McAlister Field House in Charleston, S.C. The
Mocs controlled much of the contest, leading for more than 37 minutes, while putting together its most efficient FG% performance of the season against a DI opponent after shooting 51.7% (30-58) from the floor.
UNCG RECENT RESULTS

UNCG (9-6, 2-0 SoCon) earned its third-straight win and halted Furman's six-game winning streak with a convincing 84-67 victory over the Paladins on Saturday inside the Coliseum in Greensboro. The
Spartans previously defeated Wofford on the road, 68-66, in the SoCon opener last Wednesday on New Year's Day.
UNCG has won six of its last eight games dating back to December 3.

Bash Wieland scored a game-high 21 points on a career-high 10 made FG during Saturday's 81-68 victory at The Citadel. The game marked No. 100 in
Wieland's career after previously appearing in 87 games at Bellarmine from 2019-2024 before transferring to
UTC ahead of the season.
START FAST, END STRONG
- After leading 42-30 at halftime on Saturday at The Citadel,
Chattanooga improved to 6-0 this season and 38-8 in the
Dan Earl era when holding a lead at the break. The
Mocs also improved to 9-0 this season and 44-6 under
Earl when holding a lead of any size at the 5:00 minute mark of the second half.
THREES A PLENTY FOR HUFF

Honor Huff knocked down his 150th 3PT FG in a UTC uniform with his first of the game on Saturday at The Citadel. He becomes just the 12th
Moc in program history to hit 150 or more threes and sits just eight shy of tying
Brandon Born (159, 1992-95) for 11th all-time.
