Match Notes
Mocs Snap Skid; Defeat WCU 3-1 on Friday
Chattanooga (14-12, 8-6 SoCon) snapped a four-match skid with an extremely important Southern Conference victory over Western Carolina, 3-1, last Friday evening inside Maclellan Gym. After winning the first set in a 3-1 loss to ETSU on October 23, the Mocs dropped its next 13 sets including the first against WCU before rattling off three-straight.

High Stakes Down the Stretch
Chattanooga currently sits in a two-way tie with UNCG for fourth in the league standings at 8-6, however, the Mocs drop the tiebreaker to the Spartans after falling in both matches. Furman and Wofford sit in a tie for second at 10-4 behind champ ETSU (13-1), with the Mocs able to leap the Paladins if the two teams end up tied in the loss column.

A Few Seeding Scenarios
ETSU (13-1): Clinched regular season title & No. 1 seed.
FUR/WOFF (10-4): Both need one (1) win to solidify top-3 seed. WOF>UTC tiebreak.
UTC/UNCG (8-6): One (1) win solidifies top-five seed for both; UNCG >UTC tiebreak.

Barthel Continues to Pace Southern Conference Digs Race
Junior libero Caiti Barthel continues to lead the Southern Conference this season in total digs (475) behind a 4.75 digs/set average, which currently ranks second in the league. Barthel recorded her third match this season with 30+ digs after totaling 31 during Friday's win over WCU. Barthel enters the weekend with 884 career digs.

First to Two
Chattanooga is a perfect 14-0 this season and 8-0 in SoCon play when holding either a 2-0 or 2-1 lead in the match. On the flip side when trailing either 0-2 or 1-2, the Mocs are just 2-12 overall and 2-5 within conference tilts.
