Women's Basketball on the Road to Florida Thursday

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga women's basketball team hits the road for its first away game of the season, traveling to Gainesville, Fla., to face the Florida Gators on Thursday, November 6.
 
Both teams enter the contest with 1–0 records following dominant season-opening wins. Chattanooga rolled past King University 82–34, while Florida beat North Florida 96-62.

SERIES HISTORY
Thursday's matchup marks the sixth all-time meeting between the Mocs and Gators. Chattanooga holds a 3–2 edge in the series, including a 65–60 road win in their last meeting on December 20, 2017 on the Gators' home court.
 
MOCS TO WATCH
Caia Elisaldez led the Mocs in scoring last season and picked up right where she left off, dropping 20 points in the season opener. She shot an efficient 48.6% from the field and added 5 assists with zero turnovers.
Gianna Corbitt, a force in the paint, averaged 11.3 points and 7.3 rebounds in her freshman campaign. She contributed 6 points and 6 boards in the opener and will be key in battling Florida's size inside.
Junior transfer Sarah Owona, impressed in her debut with 7 points and 7 rebounds, showing promise as a two-way contributor.
