The Mocs routed the Tigers in a low-scoring battle inside McKenzie Arena. Chattanooga's defense held TSU to 10 made shots and one 3-pointer in the win. The Tigers held just a 23.3% (10-43) shooting percentage. Yazz Wazeerud-Din led the Mocs in the win with 25 points. The 91 points combined score is the lowest ever in the all-time series.

Chattanooga and TSU have met 22 times before with the Mocs leading the series 15-7. The series dates back to 1978. Chattanooga has won six in a row in the series, with the last TSU win coming in 1998. The Mocs have also won the last three meetings in Nashville.

Gianna Corbitt was named SoCon Player of the Week on Tuesday, marking the second time this year she has been recognized. This comes after Corbitt scored a career-high 30 points vs. Bellarmine. The award marks the third week in a row a Chattanooga player has won this distinction as
Caia Elisaldez won on December 2 and Corbitt won her first on November 25. Â
Comeback Queens
Chattanooga overcame a 14-point deficit in its last game vs. Bellarmine to win 78-73. It's the Mocs largest comeback win of the season and their third of at least eight points (13 vs. Sac. State) and (8 vs. NKU).
Scouting Chattanooga
The Mocs are 1-2 in true road games this season with their lone win coming in Nashville against Lipscomb. Averaging 14.8 points per game, Corbitt currently leads the SoCon in scoring. This season, she is scoring at an efficient rate of 55.9% and 50% from three. Additionally, she leads the Mocs in rebounds per game with six.
Caia Elisaldez is right behind Corbitt at 14.3 points per game. She has two double-doubles to her name this season, including one with 15 points and a career-high 11 assists in the win vs. Bellarmine.
Offensively as a team, Chattanooga is scoring 63.4 points per game, which currently ranks third in the SoCon. The Mocs scored 78 points in their last game against Bellarmine, which was a season-high against Division I opposition. Defensively, Chattanooga allows 66.2 points per game.
Scouting Tennessee State
The lone win of the season for the Tigers came on their home court on November 19, as they defeated North Alabama 82-76. TSU has lost three games in a row since, including a 63-55 loss at Lipscomb in its last game, which is the only common opponent TSU and Chattanooga have so far this season.
Aaniya Webb, a senior guard for the Tigers, leads the offense, as she averages 13.9 points per game. Another offensive weapon for TSU is sophomore guard Somah Kamara, who averages 9.9 points per game, including a game with 22 points against UT Arlington. Kiki Roberts, a senior forward, has been a strong rebounder this season, averaging 8.1 per game, which ranks fifth in the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC).
Defensively, TSU ranks last in the OVC in scoring defense, allowing 80.8 points per game. On the other hand, the Tigers are scoring 57.1 points per game, for an average differential of 23.7 points.
