The Chattanooga Mocs are headed to Hannibal, Mo., for the tri-dual at Hannibal High School. It's a high-level date for the Mocs with No. 4 Iowa and Utah Valley on the card. "We have put ourselves in a position for a great opportunity this weekend. Coming off a couple weeks of training and trying to fix a few details. We want to continue to see our guys fight through all positions but also start to use and develop the techniques we have been working on. This weekend will be a great test of that." –

The Breakdown
- Chattanooga is 3-1 entering the event. The last outing saw seven Mocs place at the Black Knight Invite at Army West Point.
- Iowa is 5-2 with wins over Bellarmine (40-0), No. 16 Missouri (34-3), No. 15 Illinois (24-13), No. 5 Oklahoma State & No. 19 Pitt (36-0). The two losses were to then No. 4 Ohio State (12-27) and No. 6 Iowa State (14-20).
- Utah Valley is receiving votes for the top 25 in the NWCA Coaches Poll. The Wolverines own wins over #12 Stanford (19-12) and at Cal Baptist (26-9) with a loss at Oregon State (9-25).
- Two Mocs enter the dual ranked nationally in the various polls. 125 Cooper Flynn is rated as high as 15, while 174 Kamdyn Munro is slotted in at No. 33.
- Flynn is a transfer from Minnesota so he's acquainted with the Hawkeyes. His matchup last year was an loss in overtime to Joey Cruz.
- There is a 4-way tie for most wins on the Mocs roster to date with three expected to see action on Friday and a fourth possible. Billy Meiszner (149), Cavarius Liddie (157) and Ethan Vergara (285) are all 6-2, while Ethan Uhorchuk comes in at 6-4. Should Uhorchuk see action, it would be the true freshman's first collegiate dual.
- Liddie has the top win to date per the rankings. He pinned Army's Joe Antonio the last time out in West Point with Antonio sitting at No. 30 in the Flo ratings.
- All 10 Hawkeyes starters are ranked in the top 10 nationally in their weight classes with two – #6 Michael Caliendo (165) & #9 Angelo Ferrari (184) – among the top 10 overall in the pound-by-pound listings.
- This tri-meet starts a 2-week run to the holidays followed by the Southern Scuffle for the Mocs. They travel next weekend to Kent State for a dual (Fri.) and the Kent State Open (Sat.).
