CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga indoor track and field team kicks off its 2025-26 season this Saturday at the Winter Commodore Challenge, hosted by Vanderbilt University. The meet will be held at the Vanderbilt Multipurpose Facility in Nashville, Tenn., and serves as the first competition of the indoor campaign.
Â
This opening event will feature only the Mocs' sprinters and jumpers, providing an early-season opportunity for these athletes to test their speed and power against strong regional competition.
Â
"We're looking forward to opening our track & field campaign with our sprint and jump women in Nashville tomorrow!" head coach
Steve Picucci said. "They have been working hard all fall and it is great for us to get a chance to see where they are at as we head into winter break."
Â
The meet begins Saturday morning with field events, followed by running events later in the day. The Commodore Challenge traditionally attracts top programs from across the Southeast, ensuring a high-caliber field for the Mocs' athletes.

First up for the Mocs is
