Men’s Basketball Hosts Rival ETSU on Saturday Night, Aims to Keep Pace in SoCon Race

The Chattanooga Mocs men’s basketball team welcomes rival ETSU for 90’s Night inside the Roundhouse as the team looks to continue its winning ways.

CHATTANOOGA (February 14, 2025) --- Looking to keep pace atop the league standings, the Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball team hosts longtime bitter rival ETSU for a crucial Southern Conference battle on '90's Night' inside McKenzie Arena Saturday evening. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN+.

Tickets can be purchased HERE in advance or by calling/visiting the McKenzie Arena Box Office at (423) 266-MOCS (6627) during business hours of M-F, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. (ET). Saturday's game promotion is '90's Night' in addition to a FREE Viper Sunglasses (first 700) giveaway and a WHITE OUT for students.
 
Winners of its last six, Chattanooga (18-8, 10-3 SoCon) is coming off a huge 82-68 road win at defending champion Samford Wednesday night to break a tie with the Bulldogs and remain atop the SoCon standings with UNCG. ETSU (15-11, 8-5 SoCon) enters the rivalry contest coming off a tough 76-67 defeat at other rival Western Carolina on Wednesday night in Cullowhee, marking the sixth-straight game decided by single digits for the Bucs.

CHATTANOOGA EXTENDS WIN STREAK TO SIX; DOWNS SAMFORD
Chattanooga improved to 18-8 and 10-3 in SoCon play after an 82-68 wire-to-wire win at Samford... extended winning streak to six.
∙ In addition to an overall six-game win streak, the Mocs have won six-straight SoCon road contests for the second season in-a-row... ties program record for SoSon road winning streak.
Chattanooga broke a tie with Samford atop the SoCon standings with the win... now locked with UNCG at the top with a 10-3 mark.
Chattanooga has climbed to No. 113 in the NET Rankings... +103 spots (216) since the start of SoCon... second in the league (108, SAM). 
 
ETSU RECENT RESULTS
ETSU (15-11, 8-5 SoCon) is coming off a 76-67 loss at rival Western Carolina on Wednesday... the loss snapped a three-game win streak.
ETSU is 3-2 over its last five after suffering the January 25 home loss to UTC... the last six games have been decided by single digits.
ETSU has struggled on the road this season while playing to a 4-8 record in away games... an impressive 11-3 inside Freedom Hall.
 
SERIES HISTORY
Chattanooga & ETSU will meet for the 103rd time. UTC is 55-47 in the all-time series... 41-26 in SoCon regular season games.

Chattanooga currently has five players on its roster (Trey Bonham, Frank Champion, Honor Huff, Garrison Keeslar & Jack Kostel) who have scored 1,000+ career points at the NCAA level (DI, DII, DIII).
Chattanooga is currently one of just 17 Division I programs this season who feature five or more 1,000-point NCAA scorers on its roster.
