RECAP: Wrestling Runs Away with SoCon Dual Victory

Elijah Lowe

Elijah Lowe and the Chattanooga Mocs cruised to a Friday evening win over Davidson Friday in Southern Conference wrestling action.

Overview
The Chattanooga Mocs scored early and often in a 43-3 win over Davidson Friday night in Maclellan Gym. The Mocs won nine of 10 bouts and clinched the match after the sixth. The win moves the Mocs up into a tie for first in the league race.

Quotable
"I think our guys built off last week, but we can continue to push forward. We're showing what we're working on in trying to score at the end of periods and on the edge of the mat. Just really honing in on our offense and pressure, and our guys are showing that. It's good to see our progress." – Coach Kyle Ruschell

"It was good because our guys were looking for that more than (the coaches) even telling them to do it. The majors, they were looking for themselves. That's what domination kind of looks like and what we want to see out of our guys in scoring a lot of points early and often and not laying off the gas until the whistle blows." – Ruschell on bonus points

"He's a vet. He just needs to figure out a few little things and then build off that momentum. Hopefully this starts that ball rolling." – Ruschell on Reiniche's bounce back week
