BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- The Chattanooga women's indoor track and field team delivered a strong performance at the UAB Blazer Invite highlighted by a program record and multiple personal bests.

Senior
Maddie Wheatcroft posted a time of 2:57.00 in the 1000 meter, beating out a 28-year old mark, 3:00.51, set in 1998 by Jennifer Eckard-Croft. Wheatcroft placed sixth overall in the race, running in the first heat. Senior
Leah Boyd Mitchell posted a time of 3:04.71 finishing second in her heat and ninth overall.

Stella Henry recorded a personal best jump of 5.82 meters in the long jump, setting a new personal record. That distance is 83
rd this season in the NCAA across all divisions and 66
th in Division I.

Sophomore
Aubrey Park ran a personal best 5:29.75 in the Mile run with junior
Andrea Ellis right behind at 5:34.35. Sophomore
Maya McCloskey also posted a PR in the mile with a time of 5:36.75.

Junior
Lola Baker ran a personal best time of 10:51.42 to lead the Mocs in the 3000 meter run. Freshman
Halle Carden is showing progress in her rookie season setting new personal bests in the high jump at 1.63 meters and 11.18 meters in the long jump, placing third in both.

The Mocs won't take much time off as they are right back in Birmingham next weekend for the Samford Invite.
