The Mocs took down UNCG on the road 52-40, ending what was a 27-game home winning streak for the Spartans. With the game tied going into the final frame, Chattanooga outscored UNCG 17-5 to get the win.

UTC ended a short two-game losing skid on Thursday night, defeating Western Carolina 52-36. The Catamounts' 36 points is a season low for a D1 opponent against the Mocs this year. Chattanooga has held opponents this year under 50 points in eight games. Caia Elisldez led Chattanooga with 20 points while
Gianna Corbitt scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
Where Things Stand in SoCon
Chattanooga holds a 9-2 record in SoCon play and is half a game ahead of Wofford who is 9-3. With a win on Saturday and a Wofford loss to Samford, UTC can clinch a share of the SoCon Regular Season Championship.
Scouting Chattanooga
As we head into the final few games of the regular season,
Caia Elisaldez and
Gianna Corbitt have positioned themselves as two of the top players in the SoCon. Elisaldez averages 15.9 ppg and 5.3 apg, both of which lead the league. She has also scored 20 or more points in three straight games. Corbitt averages 14.8 ppg (4
th in SoCon) and 8.2 rpg (3
rd in SoCon). She leads the Mocs with six double-doubles this season.
On her Senior Day, Ford will look to get back in rhythm offensively, as she was earlier this season prior to missing four games with an injury. She has scored in double figures in nine games this year, including a 20-point outburst in the SoCon opener win vs. Wofford.
The Mocs have been the top defensive team in SoCon play, allowing just 51.5 ppg. Chattanooga is also ranked first in the league in rebounding during conference play, holding an average of 39.9 rpg. Offensively, UTC has the best field goal percentage in league play at 42.3%.
Scouting UNC Greensboro
The Spartans come to McKenzie Arena on a five-game losing skid and have fallen back to seventh place in the SoCon standings after starting off conference play 2-0. Their last win came at home against Western Carolina on Feb. 1. UNCG is 3-10 on the road this year and 0-5 in road SoCon games.
Jeni Levine leads the Spartans in scoring, averaging 14.2 ppg (5
th in SoCon). The transfer guard from USC Upstate, has scored 20 or more points twice in conference games this year. Chattanooga defended Levine well in the first meeting, as she scored 11 points on 31.2% (5-16) shooting. Makiah Asidanya is another player that can score the ball for UNCG, averaging 10.8 ppg. She put up 17 points in their game against Furman last week. On the glass, Rylan Moffitt is a strong rebounder, averaging 7.3 rpg (5
th in SoCon).
Looking at games from the whole season, UNCG allows just 55.3 ppg which ranks first in the conference. In the same stat for SoCon games, UNCG is giving up 59.2 ppg (5
th in SoCon). On the offensive end of the court, the Spartans average 55.6 ppg (7
th in SoCon) in league play.
