Moctoberfest is a month-long celebration of Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball. It includes historical moments, social media interactions and introduction to UTC's freshmen among the myriad of video tributes and stories.

Day 13 remembers another great play in Chattanooga's choice championship moments. Who can forget Ty Patterson's three-point bomb to beat the shot clock as the Mocs pulled away from an overwhelmed College of Charleston squad.

It was a tie ballgame, 34-34 at the half, but that didn't last long in the second stanza. UTC scored the first 20 points of the second half holding the Cougars without a basketball for more than seven-and-a-half minute.

Patterson provided three signature plays in the game. In the first half, he had a huge tip dunk (pictured above) and made a block chasing down Jermaine Johnson's layup attempt off the fastbreak. But no play is as well remembered as the 35 to 40-foot toss that found the bottom of the nylon.

It's 47-34 and the shot clock is winding down. The Mocs are scrambling. Patterson gets the ball with two seconds on the shot clock and lets loose a high-arching stroke. The ball was in the air long for about three seconds as the shot clock buzzer ended before the ball swished true with 14:23 left in the game.
