CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball team is headed north for Thanksgiving weekend. They break bread with No. 8 Michigan Friday at the Crisler Center.

Chattanooga is 2-4 on the young season. The group dropped all three games at last weekend's Goldie and Herman Ungar Classic in Mobile, Ala. It started with a 73-54 loss to South Alabama before neutral defeats by Southeast Missouri (63-42) and Jacksonville (74-66).

The squad broke a harsh shooting skid in Sunday's second half vs. Jacksonville. Shooting numbers in the final 20 minutes: 51.5 percent (17-33) from the field, 50.0 percent (5-10) from 3pt range. The first 100 minutes in Mobile, the iron was unkind to the tune of hitting 41 of 144 attempts (28.5%), 10 of 62 (16.1%) from beyond the arc.

Freshman Kevin Easley paces the Mocs at 15.0 points per game. Freshman Donovann Toatley and grad transfer Thomas Smallwood (UAB) also average double digits with 10.5 and 10.2 points per contest, respectively. Smallwood adds a team-high 8.8 boards per game.
