- The Chattanooga Mocs lost their first Southern Conference game of the season 70-59 at Western Carolina Wednesday night…Mocs are now 13-4, 3-1 in the Southern Conference…the Catamounts move to 8-9, 2-2 in the league.
- Tonight's result set up a battle for first place Saturday in the Roundhouse at 3 p.m.…Furman has the early lead at 4-1, a half-game clear of the Mocs in second at 3-1.
- Loss snapped 4-game win streak.
- 17-8 in last 25 road games…8-6 on the SoCon byways over that span.
- -5 in turnover margin with 14 to the Cats nine but led 11-10 in points off turnovers.
- Even on the boards with 40 apiece...Western had one more offensive rebound (12-13) but the Mocs held a 16-9 advantage in points off rebounds.
- Led for 25:53 of the contest and trailed for just 12:48...there was one tie and one lead change.
