GAME WEEK: Fan Info for Mocs-Vikings Clash at Finley

Band Day, Cheer Clinic & Thundersticks are all a part of the Chattanooga Mocs gameday this weekend at Finley Stadium.

CHATTANOOGA---Game day is almost upon us. Just two more sleeps plus a few hours and the Chattanooga Mocs and Portland State Vikings meet at Finley Stadium. Kickoff is at 7 p.m., with more than a few things to note.
 
It's a non-conference, coast-to-coast contest that has never been seen in the Scenic City before. PSU is the first team from the Pacific Time Zone to meet the Mocs, and just the second from the Big Sky Conference. The first? Weber State in the 2016 FCS Playoffs.

  • Bringing the Boom
    1,000 thundersticks will be given out at the gate upon entry to the stadium. A reminder per Finley Stadium policy, there is no re-entry after departure without purchase of another ticket. That includes students.
 
Special Events
  • Band Night
    The Marching Mocs are joined by a plethora of local high school bands in an annual celebration of the marching band's impact on the collegiate experience.
  • Cheer Clinic
    The Mocs spirit squads are hosting a camp for area cheer and dance youth. It's open to ages PK4-5th grades. It takes place tomorrow, Sept. 27th, in the arena from 5:30-8 p.m. The campers get to return to cheer and dance on the sidelines at the football game the next night.   • Powerade T-Shirt Toss
    This first quarter promotion comes at the third media timeout. Spirit squads toss Powerade branded Chattanooga t-shirts to the crowd.
  • Dr Pepper Pass for Tuition
    The regular halftime feature is back with a twist this week. It occurs this week during the third quarter break leading into the fourth. Students compete throughout the season to see who can throw the most football balls into the giant Dr Pepper can and win tuition for the year.
  • Food City Football Toss
    Another halftime promotion…spirit squads toss Food City footballs into the crowd. One lucky fan will win a $25 Food City gift card.

If you wait until gameday, prices rise $2. The ticket booth at First Horizon Pavilion opens at 3 p.m. North and South Ticket Booths begin sales at 4 p.m. Gates open 90 minutes before the game.

Student Information
Entry to all Chattanooga athletics events is free to students. Students should register for student tickets for the ticketed sports of football, men's and women's basketball, wrestling and softball. Information for students including ticketing, parking, transportation, etc., is here. There is no re-entry per Finley Stadium when departing through the gates.
 
Ultra Experience
The Ultra Club is now open on the concourse on the home side of the stadium. It's an indoor, air-conditioned space for Mocs Club members at the $100 level and higher making it a very accessible to a large block of fans. It features a cash bar with complimentary food options each gameday.
 
Everything is Cashless on Gamedays
No cash will change hands at Mocs athletics venues in 2024-25. That includes tickets, concessions, merchandising and even parking. Be prepared to pay by credit/debit card when coming to enjoy the hard-working efforts of our student-athletes and coaches. Pro tip, try paying with the Power C debit card proudly offered by First Bank.
 
Parking & Tailgating
It's tough to beat tailgating in the Pavilion. If you have not joined the Mocs Club at a level that includes parking at athletics events, it's $15 per space in the open lots. Several adjoining lots are reserved for donors as well as other figures central to the event.

Moc Walk/Moc Rock
The Moc Walk tradition continues this season with the team arriving at First Horizon Pavilion and making their way through our phenomenal tailgating area next to Finley Stadium. The Moc Walk is approximately 2:15 prior to kickoff, in this case, 4:45 p.m.
 
The Marching Mocs also offer a gameday feature, the Mocs Rock Spirit Parade & Concert. It starts 30 minutes before game time (6:30 pm this week) in conjunction with the spirit parade through the Pavilion signaling the fans' move to the stadium.
 
Clear Bag Policy
There is a clear bag policy in place for all Mocs athletics events. Fans are allowed to bring in one plastic, vinyl or PVC clear bag that does not exceed 12" x 6" x 12" to home games at Finley Stadium. Check it out here.
 
Gear Up
The Barnes & Noble Fan Store is in the Ultra Club in the south concourse of the stadium.

6:45 p.m. – Headed to your seat after having already entered the stadium & stopped off at the myriad of food & beverage options.
