CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga women's soccer team has a busy week ahead, hosting Furman on Thursday and VMI on Sunday. Sunday's match against VMI will also serve as Senior Day, celebrating seven Mocs playing in the final home match of their career at UTC.

The Mocs and Paladins have met 32 times with Furman leading the series 29-1-2. The Mocs won the last meeting and the matches in 2022 and 2023 ended in 1-1 draws. In Chattanooga, Furman leads the series 14-0-1.

LAST TIME THEY MET
Zoey Mize's shot bent in towards the goal and hit off the far post and into the net early in the match for what turned out to be the lone score on the day. The win was the first by UTC over the Paladins in program history. The win snapped Furman's nine-game unbeaten streak and extended Chattanooga's win streak to three games this season, all by shutout. Hannah Opie and spun away from the Furman defender and going low. Near the touch line, just outside the penalty area she kicked the ball into the box with her left foot and the shot hit off the far post and bounced in for the score in the eighth minute.

• Mocs are fifth in the Southern Conference standings with eight points.
• Chattanooga leads the conference with 31 goals and has allowed 19.

• The Paladins are fourth in the SoCon standings with nine points.
• Furman is second in the league for goals with 29 and has allowed just 12 goals this season.
• Norah Roller leads the team with 14 points on five goals and two assists.
• Callah Dando and Ellie Herrmann each have a team-high four assists.
• Reese DeJong has eight wins on the season with a 0.89 goals against average and a 83.1 save percentage.

Chattanooga holds a slight 6-5-2 edge against the Keydets. The series is tied in Chattanooga at 3-3-1. UTC has won the last six and unbeaten in seven of the last eight.

The Mocs beat VMI 3-1 in Lexington last season extending its win streak to four games. VMI scored first, getting a goal in the second minute.
