William Penn University: She started all 21 games as a freshman and scored an MCC-leading 15 goals and tallied one assist. She was selected to the NAIA Midwest Classic Conference Second Team and named the "Newcomer of the Year". She was a two-time MCC Player of the Week and had six multi-goal games, highlighted by a hat trick against Iowa Wesleyan in the MCC tournament first round.

High School: While at Carson High School in Carson City, Nev., Bowman was a two-time "Midfielder of the Year" for the Sierra League and named Honorable Mention in both her freshman and sophomore seasons. As a sophomore, she won the team award for most assists. Carson went undefeated in 2005 claiming the title for the second time in her four years on the squad. The team went on to finish second in the Nevada State tournament in her senior and sophomore seasons.
