2008 - JUNIOR SEASON: Saw action in 11 games...handled the majority of the punting duties...averaged 40 yards-per-kick with 57 attempts...had seven punts of 50+ yards and 13 inside the 20...long was 70 yards against Western Carolina...longest punt by a Moc since Scot Kielbock’s 74-yarder against Wofford on Oct. 3, 1998...13 punts for 502 yards at Oklahoma were both single-game school records....had one kick-off against Florida State...had 1.5 tackles.
2007 - SOPHOMORE SEASON: One of two punters used on the season...punted 11 times for a 29.0 yard average...forced four fair catches and had one punt blocked...four of his punts went inside the opponents’ 20-yard line...kicked four punts at Arkansas and two versus Western Kentucky...season-long kick of 38 yards came against the Razorbacks...made Athletics Director’s Honor Roll Fall semester.
2006 - FRESHMAN SEASON: Took over punting duties from an injured Jonathan Wright in final five games...punted 21 times for a 34.4-yard average...placed four balls inside the opponent’s 20-yard line and forced 10 fair catches...booted two balls over 50 yards, including back-to-back at Wofford...totaled six punts over 40 yards...averaged over 38 yards per kick in two of his five outings, Elon and Wofford.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Siegel High School in 2005...attended Blackman High School in Murfreesboro for three years prior to his senior year...voted team captain senior year...served as BHS’s special teams captain as a junior...Blackman advanced to the quarterfinals of the Class 5A state playoffs his sophomore year, and the Blaze had a 9-4 record...coached at Blackman by David Alsup and at Siegel by David Watson...also played baseball and tennis...helped Blackman baseball team to a District co-championship in 2003...Blackman earned spot in the tennis Final Four in 2004...member of the National Honor Society and the Beta Club...served as a Fellowship of Christian Athletes officer.
