CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs are back in Southern Conference action this weekend at UNCG. Game time is 5 p.m., at the Greensboro Coliseum. The game airs on ESPN+ and over the airwaves locally on 96.1 FM in Chattanooga along with online via GoMocs.com and the TuneIn app.

The Mocs and Spartans are tied with Furman, Wofford and The Citadel in first-place with all five at 1-0. Chattanooga got there with an 83-65 win over VMI, while UNCG came back from a 12-point halftime deficit to triumph 83-75 at Samford.

Kevin Easley continues to lead the way averaging 14.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.
Jerry Johnson, Jr., adds 11.5, while
Donovann Toatley chips in 11.1. A total of nine Mocs average 5.5 points or better per outing.

Reigning SoCon Player of the Week Francis Alonso averages 18.9 points per game to pace the Spartans. Isaiah Miller and Kyrin Galloway also average in double digits at 13.9 and 10.9, respectively.

This starts a three-game stretch away from Chattanooga. The Mocs are at Western Carolina (Jan. 3) and ETSU (Jan. 5) the following weekend before returning to the Roundhouse on Saturday, Jan. 12, hosting Samford. Home tickets are available at the link above or by calling (423) 266-MOCS (6627).

NOTABLE
- For the season, seven Mocs are shooting 35.0 percent or better from the 3pt line: Thomas Smallwood (44.4%), Jonathan Scott (43.8%), A.J. Caldwell (42.1%), Kevin Easley (39.3%), David Jean-Baptiste (37.5%), Maurice Commander (35.7%) and Jerry Johnson, Jr. (35.0%). - In the last six initial league road games, Chattanooga is 5-1.
- David Jean-Baptiste has a 9.0 assist-to-turnover ratio since moving into the starter's role at the point in the win over VMI. He's had 18 assists (3.6/gm) and just two turnovers over that span. Four of the games included a clean sheet with both miscues coming at Ole Miss.

DRIVE FOR 25
The Mocs Club began its "Drive for 25" campaign on #GivingTuesday in November. The campaign aims to raise $25,000 in scholarship funds for UTC student-athletes to which an anonymous donor has generously agreed to match.

There is also a "Drive for 25" raffle. For each gift at the below giving levels, donors will automatically be entered into drawing for the Mocs Club Raffle:
- $250 and above donors: Official UTC gear (2 winners)
- $500 and above donors: Signed Terrell Owens football (2 winners)
- $1,000 and above donors: 2 courtside seats to a mutually agreed upon home basketball game (2 winners)
- $2,500 and above donors: Official UTC Helmet (1 winner)
- $5,000 and above donors: Accompany the UTC Men's Basketball team to one mutually agreed upon away game
