chattanooga MOCS

George “Mac” McCoy was a standout out member of the Mocs football team from 1926-29.  He was on offensive lineman and played guard most of his career. 

He also lettered in basketball where he was captain of the team as a senior and a member of the All-SIAA squad. 

An active alum after his playing days, he went on to become a popular head coach at Chattanooga’s Central High School.
