Lance Fulse was a three-time member of the All-Southern Conference men’s basketball team from 1985-88. He is fifth in scoring in the Mocs’ record book with 1,325 career points. He graduated as the school’s leading rebounder with 747 career boards and is still second on the all-time list.
Fulse posted 14.9 ppg to lead the Mocs in scoring in 1986-87. He also led the team in rebounding in 1986-87 (8.2) and 1987-88 (9.1). His 300 boards in 1987-88 was the school record until Nicchaeus Doaks surpassed it (302) in 2008-09. He shot 77.4% (82-106) from the FT line to lead the team in 1985-86.
Fulse led the Mocs to SoCon regular season titles in 1985 and 1986, and the SoCon Tournament Championship in 1988. UTC participated in the Postseason NIT three times and the NCAA Tournament in 1988. He was a second team All-SoCon pick in 1986 and made the first team in 1987 and 1988. He also made the SoCon All-Tournament team in 1988.
