The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Athletics Hall of Fame was established to formally recognize outstanding contributions to the heritage and tradition of the university’s intercollegiate athletics program.  A total of 234 individuals have been inducted into the UTC Athletics Hall of Fame during special ceremonies held each year. 

Selection criteria for athletes is as follows: Must have completed intercollegiate eligibility at least five years prior to selection and possess outstanding athletic achievements. The athlete should be a graduate of UTC but this may be waived on a case-by-case basis.  

Coaches, staff, or volunteers of the athletic department are also eligible for induction.  These individuals have made a significant contribution to the program in a supporting role and were worthy of the distinction of becoming a member of the UTC Athletics Hall of Fame.

Special Award Winners
Each year, four individuals are also honored as special award winners.  These awards include: the A.C. "Scrappy" Moore Award, presented annually to a current UTC student-athlete who best personifies the athletic department's mission of equipping for success, in the classroom, in competition and in the community; the Gordon Davenport Award, given annually to the individual who has shown outstanding commitment to the Chattanooga Mocs; the Joe Morrison Award, given to a former student-athlete or coach for notable accomplishments and life experiences; and the Harold Wilkes Award, established to recognize a volunteer, coach, staff member or University administrator who has demonstrated exemplary leadership in furthering the success of Chattanooga Athletics.
